Ad-Aware 2007
An excellent anti-spyware program. Easy to use and effective at cleaning spyware out of your system.
AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition
This is my all-time favorite anti-virus program and it's completely FREE! You can't beat it for stability, performance and price.
CrossLoop
CrossLoop enables you to see the screen and control the mouse and keyboard on a remote computer. It is as if you are working side by side at the same PC.
Mozilla FireFox Web Browser
Firefox is, in my opinion, the best browser out there. It's fast, secure and offers dozens (hundreds, really) of useful add-ons that make surfing the web more fun. Try it today.
OpenOffice.org
OpenOffice.org is an open-source alternative to Microsoft Office. You can create documents, spreadsheets, databases, slideshows, etc. - just like with MS Office - but for FREE! And also it's fully compatible with MS Office format files.
RealVNC
RealVNC (stands for Virtual Network Connection) allows you to connect to another computer or be connected to and control that computer (or be controlled) remotely. A little complex to set up across a WAN (Wide Area Network) but once it's set up properly, it works great.
Spybot - Search & Destroy
Spybot - S&D is an great anti-spyware/malware program that will not only clean up any infections you might get, but it prevents thousands of known programs from being able to get into your system. Simply great.
